HUDSON RIVER HOTEL

I had a great stay at the Hudson River Hotel in New York! The location is fantastic-just a short walk to Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and Hudson Yards, making it easy to explore all the city’s top attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials like air conditioning, free WiFi, and a flat-screen TV. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they were perfect for a short city trip. The hotel offers good value for the price, especially considering how central it is. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in Manhattan.

Despite all of the negative reviews, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. We had a short trip to NY and everything was booked so we had to stay here. We arrived super early and got an early check-in (huge bonusł). The room was small (as expected) but very clean! I mean, the walls had lots of marks on them but mostly scuffs, not stains. The shower felt amazing, the air conditioner worked wonderfully, the beds were comfortable, the microwave and fridge worked great. The staff was also very pleasant. My husband wanted to watch the football game and was able to choose from a few bars very close by (walking distance) as well as pick up a vegan meal on his way back.

If you're looking for a hotel close to Times Square at an affordable price, this is the place. I've seen some reviews that were not so positive, and honestly, I disagree. I will say the rooms are small, but honestly, for the price, I would not complain. The bed was comfortable, the heat worked, the shower was clean, and the staff were friendly. We had a TV with good channels and we were a short walk from Times Square. Not too shabby at all, considering other hotels were asking quite a bit more. The view from our room wasn't the beauty of Central Park but it was still of the city which was nice. If you're someone who's going to spend a lot of time in your room, then maybe you would want something bigger, but honestly, we just watched some TV and slept. The rest of the time, we were exploring the city. I didn't feel unsafe in the area, but realistically, it's NYC. You're going to see some sights that don't make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I was harassed worse walking across the street from the Plaza, and those rooms aren't cheap!! If you're looking for luxury, then you'll pay more elsewhere but if you're just looking for a place to lay your head for the night and not break the bank then this is a good place to do it.

Recently stayed here for 8 nights and I just wanted to give a shoutout to all the staff working here. When I checked in I was exhausted and pissed off really from a tough travel day, but the gentleman at the front desk, Anthony, quickly changed that attitude and got me right for NYC. Quick and easy check in process, with a room overlooking that amazing city. Throughout my stay all staff, Anthony, Vicky, Karina, and everyone else I came in contact with were extremely professional, friendly, and actually care about your stay at the hotel. It clearly shows, and I hope management recognizes these great employees because it's really the employees that made my stay so great. Any question, any request, they were on it and I greatly appreciate their service

We just went for a visit , first time tour of NYC . Room was cozy, just big enough for a couple. Clean and tidy, small fridge and closet space. We’re from WNC and it worked great for us!! Staff were nice and very helpful!! They stored our luggage prior and after departure for a $10 charge. Shower was hot and clean! All around a reasonable price and excellent location!

We had an outstanding customer service and the hotel is very convenient, clean and affordable for staying. However, you get what you pay for, rooms are reduced space, the building and the appliances are old. It was a nice staying, we just went to the hotel for sleeping and then spending the day in the city. It is an affordable and convenient option if is your first time in the city and have low budget.

The hosts here are really awesome. There was a problem with booking through airbnb, because people were impersonating the hotel and making the hotel reviews seem bad. Luckily I met Jay at the hotel front desk, who did everything he can to help support me. He stood by my side to help talk with Airbnb support team, and even offered lots of suggestions. Anyways, if you book this hotel make sure to only do it through Booking.com and Expedia. Avoid airbnb as they’re impersonators.

This hotel isn't as bad as most of the reviews say. The room might be a bit small but it is a solid room. They had nice beds very comfy and being on the higher floor gives u a nice view to look at and the view is nicer at night. The tv is just fine great to watch movies or sports and the free wifi is great unlike some hotels. The breakfast is also not so bad the food can get me through my morning. It's also very clean for a hotel room. Overall it's not a bad hotel so I suggest going here if ur visiting
